The Stress, Interpersonal Relationships, & Health Laboratory in the Department of Psychology at Concordia University is recruiting a Research Assistant. The research laboratory is located at the Loyola Campus, 7141 Rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montréal, QC.

Part-Time Research Assistant Position

Posting Period: September 2, 2025 to September 12, 2025

Contract Start Date: September 15, 2025

Contract End Date: May 30, 2026

Hourly Rate: $19.45 minimum with possibility of more depending on scholarity

Total Contract Hours: 296 (8 hours per week)

The Research Assistant will work directly under the principal investigator to collect research as part of an ongoing study. The Research Assistant will work remotely at times and will need to travel up to 50 km radius within the Greater Montreal Area. The position entails research coordination, carrying out data collection (screening, interviewing, planning and conducting in-person testing, and preparing and sending questionnaires), managing data collection, and completing administrative work.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling and conducting study sessions with participants

  • Collecting data at research participant’s homes in the Greater Montreal Area and at Concordia University’s Loyola campus

  • Assisting with creation and submission of study documentation (ethics requests/renewals, protocols, etc.)

  • Working with team of undergraduate student research assistants, delegate their responsibilities, and oversee their progress

  • Requires flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

  • Other research tasks as outlined by Principal Investigator

 

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Spoken and written French and English required.

  • BA in Psychology or a related field.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in conducting research in the social sciences and data management are an asset.

  • Excellent organizational/time management skills and strong ability to multitask.

  • Able to work under minimal supervision.

  • Experience working with older adults is an asset.

 

Assigned location Access Limitations:

This position requires the candidate to be physically mobile as the position requires demonstrating physical activity to research participants. Additionally, the successful candidate would be required to be able to carry a box which weighs no more than 25 lbs.

 

Further, the candidate must have a valid driver's license and the means to bring large materials to and from research participants' homes.
